Sweat at a spring fitness fund-raiser-- you'll be helping kids.

Starting on Saturday, April 8, from noon to midnight, Iron Butterfly of Victor hosts the “12 Hours of Fitness” fund-raiser. Closing its gym, members and non-members both pay a flat-fee of $15 to enjoy festivities, which including raffles, classes, auctions (you might win a session with a personal trainer!) and refreshments. A special two-hour “kid-focus” will take place beginning at 6 p.m., with special children’s health and fitness activities on child-sized equipment.

Then, the fun continues with a three-hour fitness kickboxing workout on Sunday, April 9, starting at noon at Martial Arts America at 2160 Penfield Rd. No experience is necessary, and men and women, teens through adults are welcome to stay for as short or as long as they like, with snacks and water provided to re-fuel between sessions. To be involved, participants are asked to either collect pledges (high-collectors are eligible to win prizes, including free classes or a fitness gift basket) or pay a flat-fee of $15.
