Oktoberfest Celebration Helps Wilmot Find Cancer Cures Sept. 28

Dance the night away and take a chance to win $4,000 at an Oktoberfest celebration from 6 to 8:30 p.m., Thursday, Sept. 28, at the DelMonte Lodge in Pittsford. Westminster Financial has teamed up with the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center for an: “Occasion for a Cure.” The event includes dinner, dancing to JazzNik, silent auction and a raffle to raise support the Wilmot Cancer Center Comprehensive Campaign.

Hosted by William Prentice, vice president of Westminster Financial, who is also organizing the event, hopes to raise at least $25,000.

“Cancer in some way has affected everyone, including our customers and their family members,” said Prentice. “This event will give us an opportunity to spread awareness and provide our community with a source to help continue the fight.”

Richard I. Fisher, M.D.,director of the Wilmot Cancer Center, will be the keynote speaker.  Tickets for the Oktoberfest are $100.

A highlight of the evening will be a raffle for prizes of up to $4,000..  Raffle tickets are $20 each and you don’t have to attend to win.
