Two Area Businessmen Join Wilmot Cancer Center Board

Friday, February 02, 2007

Businessmen John Holtz and Ron Billitier recently joined the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center Board to support cancer care and research in the Rochester community. They will serve three-year terms.

Holtz, owner of Holtz House of Vehicles, has been an active sponsor of many organizations that support people with cancer, and is pleased to join the Wilmot Cancer Center Board.  The Pittsford resident also supports Daystar, Garth Fagan Dance Company, Greater Rochester Enterprise, Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation and Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong.

Billitier owns Billitier Electric Inc., and joined the board after he lost a friend who had a brain tumor. He is a member of the St. John Fisher College Board of Trustees, Genesee Regional Bank Board and University of Rochester Eye Institute Board. Billitier also supports the Special Olympics, Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong, Ronald McDonald House Charities, and ALS Foundation. He lives in Penfield.

The Wilmot Cancer Center is the Finger Lakes region’s leader for cancer care and research. The center is raising $42.5 million to expand clinical and research programs and construct a new facility.  The improvements lay the foundation for creation of one of the top cancer centers in the nation.
