Wilmot Cancer Center Expert Offers Lymphoma Talk May 23

A lymphoma specialist from the James P Wilmot Cancer Center will lead a community discussion about treatment advances for non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma on Wednesday, May 23, at the Bella Lago Restaurant in Canandaigua.
Jonathan Friedberg, M.D., director of hematological malignancies clinical research at the Wilmot Cancer Center, will offer the free “Ask the Expert” discussion, sponsored by The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society.
Non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma is the sixth most common cancer for men and the fifth most common cancer in women in the United States. This year 56,390 new cases of non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma will be diagnosed.
The program begins with a free dinner at 5 p.m., followed by the program from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Registrations are required by May 16 and can be made by calling The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society at 1-800-784-2368 ext. 106.
