Fitness Fundraiser Burns Calories, Helps Hospitalized Kids

Monday, September 24, 2007

Fitness buffs are in luck, come Saturday, Oct. 6; the Iron Butterfly Health Club, 7493 Route 96, Victor, will close its facility to host its second annual “12 Hours of Fitness, BStrong for Others” fundraiser to benefit Golisano Children’s Hospital at Strong and the Gilda’s Club of Rochester.

From noon to midnight, families of members and non-members alike are welcome to enjoy fitness, classes, refreshments and fun in exchange for a $20 donation (kids 14 and younger, $15) that benefits both organizations. Prize incentives will be awarded to those who raise the most funds above this minimum donation (participants are encouraged to do so by collecting pledges). A special two-hour “kid-focus” segment will take place beginning at 2 p.m., featuring children’s health and fitness activities on child-sized equipment.

For more information on the 12 Hours of Fitness event, call Tracy Morgan at (585) 924-1540, or visit
