A Cappella Concert at University of Rochester Benefits Wilmot Cancer Center

The sweet strains of love songs and other popular tunes will be heard during the Harmony for Hope concert at 7:30 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 14, at the University of Rochester’s Strong Auditorium. The a cappella concert by 4:2:Five and the UR YellowJackets will benefit the research programs at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center.

The concert honors Alexander Hunter, a YellowJacket member who is being treated for lymphoma.

The YellowJackets are the University’s oldest all-male a cappella group and members perform a variety of musical styles, from classic doo-wop to modern pop.

World renowned guest artists 4:2:Five, are based in Orlando, Fla., and evolved from a street-corner barbershop group. 4:2:Five is unlike any other musical experience, recreating an entire instrumental band with nothing but their five voices – you have to see and hear it to believe it.

Tickets to the concert are $20, ($8 for UR undergraduate students and $15 for other students and UR staff). Tickets are available at the Rochester Philharmonic Orchestra box office, Common Market at UR, and choiceticketing.com/rochester.

Sponsorships are available, which include the concert and a VIP reception at Max of Eastman Place.
