Wilmot Cancer Center Expert Offers Breast Cancer Talk April 13

A breast oncologist from the James P Wilmot Cancer Center will lead an “Ask the Expert” discussion on advances in breast cancer treatment at 6 p.m., Monday, April 13, at Gilda’s Club, 255 Alexander St.

Alissa Huston, M.D., will answer questions about the new therapies that are available today, clinical trials available locally and offer insight into tomorrow’s treatments. Huston is an oncologist at the Comprehensive Breast Care Center at the Wilmot Cancer Center, Upstate New York’s first center to bring a multidisciplinary team together for imaging tests, biopsies, pathology readings and diagnosis. 

The Wilmot Cancer Center at the University of Rochester Medical Center is the region’s leader in cancer care and research. The center has more than 400 doctors, nurses, scientists and support staff dedicated to finding cures.
