Spirituality and Illness Talk March 16 at Wilmot Cancer Center

The role of spirituality when facing a serious illness will be the focus of an integrative oncology lecture at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, March 16, at the James P. Wilmot Cancer Center
is an ordained itinerant elder in the African Methodist Episcopal Church and is also an Association for Clinical Pastoral Education Supervisor. She works with people, seminary students and clergy to help them become more effective pastoral caregivers.
Reeve is planning to practice in adult primary care and has a strong interest in palliative care, integrative medicine, and spirituality studies. She will discuss how spirituality impacts quality of life in people living with cancer.
The event is part of a monthly integrative oncology lecture series for patients who want to learn more about improving their quality of life during cancer care and survival. To register for the event, call (585) 276-5432.
The lecture series is held on the third Tuesday of each month. Future discussions will focus on nutrition and music therapy.
