ACL Injuries, Prevention Topic of June 5 Talk

Join the University of Rochester Medical Center and the Eastside YMCA at 6:30 p.m. June 5 for a free educational event and demonstration presented by top URMC Sports Medicine physicians and physical therapists on ACL injuries and prevention in athletes of all ages.

Topics addressed will include the incidence of ACL injuries, causes, symptoms, diagnosis, treatment and prevention. The presentation and discussion will be led by orthopedic surgeon Gregg T. Nicandri. M.D., assistant professor in the URMC Department of Orthopaedics, and Marybeth DiSanza, P.T., D.P.T., S.C.S., URMC Sports Medicine physical therapy resident.

Participants also will learn about an ACL Prevention Clinic that will be offered this July.
