Henrietta resident to receive honor for volunteerism

Monday, October 13, 2003

Dan Reagan of Shelledge Drive will be honored next week by the Friends of Strong with the Elizabeth Crozier Award. The award is presented in recognition of outstanding, long-term volunteer service to the Friends of Strong organization and Strong Memorial Hospital. It is named in memory of Elizabeth (Bess) Crozier, who was an employee at Strong and a volunteer for many years.

Reagan, a retired Eastman Kodak Co. employee, has been a volunteer at the hospital’s Information Desk for more than five years and has given more than 3,500 hours of his time. In addition, he has been active in community theater for more than 30 years.

“When I talk with the staff and other volunteers about Dan, the words I hear most often are ‘reliable, friendly and always smiling,’ ” says Louise Criticos, Friends of Strong director. “He is very dedicated, loves to help people and enjoys life to its fullest.”

Reagan will accept the award Thursday night, Oct. 9, at the Friends of Strong Annual Volunteer Recognition Dinner.
