Gala Wine Tasting to Benefit Patients at Strong Memorial Hospital
Take part in a unique evening sampling 300 select imported and domestic wines while supporting patient care at Strong Memorial Hospital.
Presented by the Friends of Strong Memorial Hospital, the 24th annual Gala Wine Tasting is scheduled for 7 to 10 p.m. Friday, Feb. 13 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel, 125 East Main St., Rochester.
Wine selections will be presented by Century Liquor and Wines with offerings from local and award-winning wineries, including Bully Hill Vineyards, Dr. Frank Wine Cellars, Glenora Wine Cellars, Heron Hill Winery, Ravines Wine Cellars, Standing Stone Vineyards, Treleaven Wines, Wagner Vineyards, and Casa Larga Vineyards.
In addition to wine, a selection of artisan craft beers—including Naked Dove Brewing and the VB Brewery—hors d’oeuvres, and desserts will be offered. The smooth jazz sounds of the Jeremy Siskind Trio will add to the casual atmosphere of an evening designed for friends, colleagues, and couples. Rachel Barnhart, WROC News 8 anchor, will emcee. A silent auction and drawing will also be held.

Tickets purchased after Feb. 9 may be picked up via Will Call at the event. Attendees must be age 21 or older.
Established in 1975, Friends of Strong works to advance the mission of Strong Memorial Hospital. Through a diverse team of staff and volunteers working together, Friends of Strong provides services to patients, families, and visitors; promotes the hospital in the community; and organizes fundraising activities to raise money that helps meet critical hospital needs. In 2013, more than 1,300 volunteers donated nearly 110,000 hours of service, which contributed to approximately $800,000 in equipment and other items for more than 30 departments across the hospital.
