Community Nursing Center Adds Two More Public Flu Clinics

Flu Shot Now Available to All Community Residents

Monday, January 24, 2005

The Community Nursing Center (CNC) will once again hold community flu clinics for the general public this week, after vaccinating nearly 1,000 people last week.  CNC is expecting a large turn out, since the New York State Department of Health lifted all restrictions on flu shots on Jan. 21.

“Influenza is definitely going around Rochester. A flu shot now can protect you for the remainder of the flu season, which for our community, is typically mid-April," Rachel Gressel, R.N., said, who manages the Community Nursing Center's flu clinics.  “Now that restrictions have been lifted, we are urging all people to get the flu shot to protect themselves and their families.”
