World AIDS Day Exhibit at High Falls Runs Through Dec. 30

WHAT: Free art exhibition featuring artist John Cianciotta, who created artwork for World AIDS Day exhibit

WHERE: High Falls Center Art Gallery, 60 Brown’s Race 

WHEN: Through Dec. 30; call the gallery at (585) 325-2030 for hours

The community is invited to view a special fine art exhibition at the High Falls Center Art Gallery that is raising funds for programs developed by the HIV Vaccine Trials Unit and Strong AIDS Clinic at the University of Rochester Medical Center, as well as St. Mary’s Hospice.

The World AIDS Day exhibit, featuring work by local artist John Cianciotta, as well as others, runs through Dec. 30.

In addition to the exhibit artwork available for sale, signed and numbered prints of Cianciotta’s World AIDS Day poster, “Judgment Day Diem I,” are being offered for $10.

Numerous events have been held in Rochester this month in recognition of international World AIDS Day, in an effort to increase awareness about HIV and AIDS. World AIDS Day began in 1988 and is held each year on Dec. 1.
