Secretary/Registrar - Orthopedics Practice

Job Description:

Greeting and registration of patients and performance of secretarial duties to ensure the smooth running of the office. Patient scheduling; correspondence between patients, physician office, and insurance companies.  Coordinate day to day office activities between the professional staff and the patients.  Carry out billing support functions.

Job Requirements:

College or post-secondary business school courses in secretarial or equivalent in job-related experience.  Basic knowledge of medical terminology helpful.

Secretarial experience preferred, Secretarial experience in a Physician Practice is a plus.  Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with the general population. Computer experience required.  Experience in Microsoft Office Word and Excel, and Meditech preferred.  Transcription experience helpful.

Medical Office Assistant

Job Description:

Provides care to patients in the physician office practice setting under the direct supervision of a physician.

Job Requirements:

Graduation from a Medical Assistant program or CNA preferred.Comparable experience will be acceptable or experience in a physician's practice setting.

Experience in an office practice or physician clinic preferred.

Job Description:

Provide nursing care to patients using the nursing process and current standards of nursing practice in the physician office setting.  Will provide coverage for all the hospital owned physician practices.

Job Requirements:

Graduate of an approved school of licensed practical nursing with a permit or license to practice in New York State required.  Previous physician office staff nursing experience desirable.
