Noyes Chef Selected as Finalist in Culinary Creation Contest

Noyes Health is please to announce that Chris Kriner, Supervising Chef at Noyes Memorial Hospital, has been selected as a finalist in the Culinary Creation Contest, an national cooking competition organized by U.S. Foodservice and Premier, Inc. Kriner secured his place in the top four with his recipe for Un Pizzico di Sud (Going South).
The finals will be held at the Gaylord Opryland Hotel in Nashville, TN, where the Hotel’s renowned cooking staff will prepare the top-ranked recipes for judging. If Kriner’s entrée is selected, he will be awarded the Culinary Cup for outstanding recipe of the year.
“We are proud of Chris and his culinary achievements—making it to the finals is a major accomplishment,” said Amy Pollard, President, Noyes Health. “And, we’re pretty confident that his recipe will bring home the cup!”
After graduating from Brockport High School, Kriner studied culinary arts at Paul Smith’s College. Early in is career; he worked in various chef positions in Phoenix, Arizona and Denver, Colorado. He also opened and operated a successful BBQ restaurant in Newburg, NY prior accepting a position with Noyes in 2009.
