“Emergency Nurses Week”

Wednesday, October 10, 2012

Noyes Health will join the Emergency Nurses’ Association (ENA) in a nationwide celebration honoring emergency nurses during “Emergency Nurses Week,” October 7 - 13, 2012. Emergency nurses make a difference each day in peoples’ lives, both within and beyond the traditional boundaries of the hospital emergency department. ENA has chosen the theme “Every Patient + Every Time = Making a Difference” for this year’s celebration. The theme highlights the way emergency nurses use their vision, knowledge, and skills to improve patient outcomes. Caring for patients requires nurses to be highly skilled, well educated, and motivated, and nurses cite the variety and challenges of the specialty as fueling their ongoing passion.

“Emergency Nurses Week is the ideal time for us to express our appreciation to the Noyes Emergency Room Nurses and staff” said Tamara West, Vice President Patient Care. “The patients generally find this an opportune time to extend their appreciation for the quality care the staff at the Emergency Room provides every day”.

About 15,000 community members are seen in the Emergency Room at Noyes annually.
