Dansville, NY-May is Mental Health Month, and this year’s theme is "Pathways to Wellness". In recognition of Mental Health Month, Noyes Health will be hosting their second annual Mental Health Art Show, to be held on May 22nd from 3pm-7pm in the lobby of Noyes Memorial Hospital in Dansville. The event, which is open to the public, will feature artwork created by patients of the Mental Health clinic, under the guidance of an Art Therapist. Additionally, the Mental Health team is wrapping up another successful six -week Stress Management program, which was also open to the public, and will be offered again in 2014. Both of these events are an effort to promote social-emotional wellness, prevent illness, and reduce the stigma associated with mental health. Mental health prevention and screening are as important as they are for your physical health, as roughly 1 in 5 Americans have a treatable mental health condition.
