Monday, May 11, 2015
Frank DeMarzo, Noyes Health Pharmacy Department Director was recognized as a pharmacy educator by students in the St. John Fisher College, Wegmans School of Pharmacy. Frank, along with his pharmacist team are “qualified preceptors” and have worked with many college students throughout the years, during the students experiential learning requirement, as part of their degree program.
The 2015 recognition comes directly from student nominations and reflects both Frank’s and his team’s significant contribution to education and role modeling for the students in the Wegmans School of Pharmacy. Frank and his team provide a site for introductory and advanced education on hospital pharmacy practice for colleges and universities in the area.
“Noyes Health is proud to participate in the education of future pharmacists and are fortunate to have such a dedicated group of professionals in the Noyes Health Pharmacy Department”, said Cynthia Oswald, Director of Public Relations and Marketing. Noyes Health employs four pharmacists, four pharmacy technicians and one module coordinator all located at the hospital facility.
