National Medical Laboratory Professionals' Week was April 25-29, 2016 and the Department of Pathology and Lab Medicine hosted several events open to the public and URMC community. 

Quality Day


The event included a morning session of presentations featuring Lean projects: Patient Blood Management Program, Inpatient Phlebotomy Team, Improvements at Wilmot Cancer Service Center, Exception Handling Team, and Urine Processing. The "Meet YoUR Labs" poster session was held in the North End of the SMH Cafeteria. Staff answered questions and shared information about lab professionals and the important role they play behind the scenes in research and patient care. Read more...
