Research Overview

The Johnson Laboratory studies the biology of the leptomeninges and the pathogenesis of meningiomas. The lab is attempting to identify targets for novel chemotherapies for meningiomas.

The lab has been mapping numerous signaling pathways that regulate leptomeningeal and meningioma proliferation and apoptosis. The interactions between leptomeninges, cerebrospinal fluid and the dura in meningioma development are also of interest.
