Conference Objectives
- Provide educational opportunities on a range of ethical topics pertinent to healthcare and clinical practice.
Some ideas for workshops are (but not limited to):
- Health disparities and justice
- Religion and miracles
- Allocation of resources
- Physician-aid-in-dying
- Communication techniques
- Ethical concerns raised by COVID pandemic
- How to lead an effective debriefing session
- Conscientious objection
- Moral distress
- Futility/non-beneficial treatment
- Engage professionals from all disciplines in focused workshops that encourage group discussion and engagement in the topic.
- Improve outreach and communication about health care ethics within the Rochester community.
Guide for Workshop Proposals
Notification of Acceptance: By December 10, 2021
Workshops will be 75 minutes in length. Please incorporate opportunities for group engagement and discussion: this should not be simply a didactic talk. Proposals should include: a title, 2 objectives for the session, and a brief overview of content and teaching methods. The submission should be double spaced, 12 font and no more than 1 page long. Include your name, title, and contact information including preferred email address and phone number.
