Erin E. Barker, M.D.

Erin E. Barker, M.D.

Erin is a board-certified pediatric intensivist who completed her PICU fellowship at Washington University in St. Louis, MO. She has worked as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the PICU and Pediatric Cardiac Care Center at the University of Rochester (UR) since 2016. Erin specializes in quality improvement and patient safety. She is integral to the PICU (6N) unit performance quality team, and is spearheading the PICU Liberation Bundle in our PICU and PCICU.

Susan D. Martin, M.D.

Susan is a board-eligible pediatric intensivist who completed her PICU fellowship at The Norton Children’s Hospital in Louisville, KY. She has worked as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the PICU and Pediatric Cardiac Care Center (PCCC) at the University of Rochester (UR) since 2017. Susan specializes in quality improvement and patient safety. She is integral to the PCCC (6S) unit performance quality team and is working on safe patient transfers and early mobility and is our PCCC continuous renal replacement champion.

Heather Reyes, M.D., M.Eng.

Heather Reyes, M.D., M.Eng.

Heather is a biomedical engineer who is also a board-certified pediatric intensivist and completed her PICU fellowship at the University of Rochester (UR). Heather has worked as an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics in the PICU and Pediatric Cardiac Care Center (PCCC) at the UR since 2018. Heather’s research interests are in machine learning, neural networks, and data analytics to reduce alarm fatigue and improve intensive care monitoring. Heather is the Pediatric representative to the UR Health Lab.
