Defining Best Practice for Etiologic Work-up for Those with Autism Spectrum Disorders

Jessica Roesser, M.D., will be joining the faculty in our Division of Neurodevelopmental and Behavioral Pediatrics. She completed her fellowship in developmental and behavioral pediatrics here at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Roesser’s interests lie in the area of clinical research that characterizes and defines best practice clinical care for the etiologic work-up of children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorders. She is also working on characterizing subgroups of patients with autism spectrum disorder on the basis of difficulties with feeding, sleep and toileting behaviors, and she is designing therapeutic trials aimed at optimizing and individualizing treatment based on this characterization.
