Structure of Research Clusters

Research Clusters

Each research cluster is led by a faculty member. Several faculty and fellows are included in each group. Health project coordinators, research assistants, students, and other staff members are associated uniquely with each cluster, allowing them to accrue a specific skill set and knowledge base and to form close working relationships with the cluster faculty. Each cluster has many external linkages to other researchers at URMC and throughout the nation.

Centralized Infrastructural Support

Divisional infrastructural support is shared among the clusters. This includes a research administrator, an accountant, an administrative assistant, a programmer, a statistician, and several senior health project coordinators. A grant and manuscript review mechanism and a regular research conference are also in place.
