Caren Gellin, M.D. is a Senior Faculty Advisor of the Hoekelman Center, Associate Program Director of the Pediatric Residency Program, and Assistant Director of the Primary Care Clerkship at the University of Rochester School of Medicine. Eric Biondi, M.D. is a Senior Faculty Advisor of the Hoekelman Center and a Pediatric Hospitalist at Golisano Children's Hospital. Jeffrey Kaczorowski, M.D. is the Vice Chair of the Golisano's Children's Hospital Vice Chair of Community and Government Affairs. . Katherine Blumoff Greenberg, M.D. is the LARC initiative assistant Director and Assistant Professor, Division of Adolescent Medicine, Department of Pediatrics and Obstetrics/Gynecology. Marc Lavender, M.D. is the PLC Rotation Director of the Hoekelman Center, and Primary Care Physician at East Ridge Family Medicine. Nirupama Laroia, M.D. is the Global CARE Assistant Director for the Hoekelman Center and Associate Professor Pediatrics/Neonatology at the University of Rochester Medical Center and Section Chief- Neonatology, Medical Director of Special Care Nursery at Rochester General Hospital. Community Physician Partners Andrew Sherman, M.D., M.P.H. is the Global CARE Assistant Director, and a physician at Bay Creek Pediatric Group. He is the director of Netlife Africa, which distributes bed nets to prevent malaria in Senegal. Megan Callanan-Lasaponara, M.D. is a pediatrician at English Road Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine. She is also the Executive Director for KidsThrive585 a child-focused Rochester, NY area non-profit that highlights good works occurring throughout the community and improves access to resources for children, caregivers and child advocates. Sarah Collins-McGowan, M.D. is a pediatrician at Genesee Pediatrics. She is a clinical instructor with the RITA PA program as well as in the Department of Pediatrics at University of Rochester. She also spends time working with The Children's Institute on improving the health of preschool-aged children in the city of Rochester. Steven A. Schulz, M.D. is a pediatrician at Finger Lakes Medical Associates. He is a member of the board of Success for Geneva's Children which collects and analyzes data to understand the needs and interests of Geneva children and parents while coordinating resources to improve their quality of life. He also serves as a preceptor for first and second year medical students and pediatric residents. Staff Rosa M. Lloyd, M.B.A. is the Hoekelman Center Manager. She joined the Hoekelman Center team in July 2015. Prior to that, she was at the University of Rochester's Center for Community Health as Sr. Health Projector Coordinator for the CDC funded Community Transformation Grant (CTG). In addition to working with the CTG, Rosa assumed a supervisory role in 2013 with the Blood Pressure Advocate Program, a clinic-based program to help adults diagnosed with high blood pressure get their blood pressure under control. Prior to joining the University of Rochester, Rosa worked for the National Kidney Foundation (NKF) for nine years as Director of Community Outreach where her duties included planning, coordinating, and implementing kidney screenings for the community and establishing community partnerships for the NKF. Prior to working for the NKF, Rosa worked at Chase Bank for nearly 20 years in branch management. Rosa earned her undergraduate degree in business administration from Shaw University, Raleigh, NC and an MBA from The Ohio State University, Columbus, Ohio. Jessica Cranch joined the Hoekelman Center in December 2016. She is the project coordinator for the Greater Rochester LARC Initiative, a community level initiative funded by the Greater Rochester Health Foundation and based in the Hoekelman Center. Jessica earned her Bachelor’s degree in Community Health at SUNY Potsdam, and is pursuing a Master’s in Public Health degree at the University of Rochester. Prior to this position, Jessica completed internships with Planned Parenthood, Canton-Potsdam Hospital, and Cornell Cooperative Extension, teaching health education and providing health promotion to youth and young women across the North Country of New York State.
