Betsy graduated from the University of Rochester Care of the Child and Families program.
She has worked in primary care pediatrics and pediatric endocrinology. Betsy provides direct care to children with diabetes. Patient care responsibilities include: inpatient education of newly diagnosed children; outpatient management via phone and outpatient visits; and case management including interaction with other disciplines including schools.

Her areas of interest include care of children with Type 1 and Type 2 diabetes, obesity prevention, use of insulin pumps and sensors, and motivational interviewing. .
