I have been in nursing since 1987 and an Acute Care Nurse Practitioner since 2000. The majority of my career has been in the cardiovascular field. Currently, I am focusing on patients with structural heart disease for example valvular disease. I am the lead valve clinic APP.
My healthcare philosophy is based on the belief that it is the role of the healthcare provider to work alongside clients and their significant others to gain and improve overall wellbeing. It is a team effort.

I have been in nursing since 1987 when I graduated with my BSN from Niagara University. I worked in various hospital settings concentrating on cardiac and the the intensive care area. In 1999 I completed my masters of nursing in Acute Care Nurse Practitioner from the University of Rochester. I developed the advanced practice role in the cardiac catheterization lab at the University of Rochester and have since helped it expand to 4 positions. I am the lead APP within this area. Currently my main focus is structural heart disease. In 2012 I was involved in the development and implemented of the valve clinic/TAVI program at the University of Rochester.

My healthcare philosophy is based on the belief that it is the role of the healthcare provider is to work alongside clients and their significant others to gain and improve overall well being. Team work is a critical element for providers and clients.
