Dr. Kelly is an Associate Professor of Neurology at URMC and serves as the department's Director of Teleneurology and Regional Development. He attended Cornell University for his undergraduate training and then received his M.D. degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry. He then completed a neurology residency and a vascular neurology (stroke) Fellowship, both at Rochester. Dr. Kelly is a Fellow of the American Academy of Neurology and an active member of the American Heart Association/American Stroke Association.

Dr. Kelly's clinical focus is primarily on stroke and other forms of cerebrovascular disease, both in the outpatient and inpatient settings. In his role as Director of Teleneurology and Regional Development, he oversees the department's telemedicine activities which include a telestroke program that extends over a large portion of upstate New York, an inpatient teleneurology service that provides remote consultations at several regional hospitals, and a rapidly growing ambulatory telemedicine program.

Ratings & Reviews

At URMC, we believe that patients should be empowered to make the right decisions regarding their personal healthcare. To do so, transparency is critical. URMC partners with Press Ganey, to survey our patients about all aspects of their care experience. We are now putting this pertinent information at your fingertips by displaying star ratings for our providers along with anonymous patient comments on our website. This will help you make better-informed choices about how and with whom you seek care. Click here to learn more about the surveys used to generate this vital information.
