Biography

The philosopher Maimonides wrote, "The physician should not treat the disease, but the patient who is suffering from it." Growing up, I watched my father, who was also a urologist here in Rochester, work hard to touch the lives of patients in need. I chose this field because I, too, want to bring joy to patients and their families every day. My patients will find that I am energetic and charismatic. I love Rochester, which is one of my main reasons for moving back here. I also enjoy sports and the outdoors. After receiving my Bachelor of Arts degree, Cum Laude, from Cornell University in Ithaca, I went on to complete my medical degree at Columbia University College of Physicians and Surgeons, followed by a residency in urology at Strong Memorial Hospital. I later obtained a fellowship in minimally invasive oncology and endourology at University of Minnesota. I joined the University of Rochester Medical Center in 2006 and have also served as Director of Robotics at Highland Hospital since 2011. My areas of expertise include robotic and laparoscopic surgeries for prostate, kidney, bladder, adrenal and ureteral cancers. Conditions I Treat: - Kidney cancer - Prostate cancer - Bladder cancer - Adrenal cancer - Ureteral cancer - Testicular cancer
