Biography

Professional Background

Sam Huber MD, MS holds degrees from the University of Rochester, University of Rochester School of Medicine, and the Dartmouth Institute for Health Policy and Clinical Practice. He trained at Washington University in St. Louis, and the White River Junction Vermont VA Medical Center. He has served as Medical Director for inpatient psychiatry and Associate Quality Officer at URMC, Associate CMO for patient safety and quality at Rochester Regional Health, and Chief Medical Officer for MultiCare Behavioral Health-MultiCare Health System. He has clinical experience across the spectrum of acute services including short and long-term inpatient, emergency psychiatry, consultation/integrated care, neuromodulation (ECT) and adult ambulatory psychiatry.

Dr. Huber's work focuses on helping teams and individuals design sustainable systems of work that maximize safety, quality, professional satisfaction, and value outcomes. He is interested in triage tools that help patients connect to the right care at the right time, data that make a difference, interdisciplinary communication, encouraging innovation and finding joy at work.
