Jerry Kong, D.O.

Professional Background

Prior to becoming a physician, Dr. Kong graduated in architecture from Cornell University and worked as an architect in downtown Rochester for several years. He later earned a degree in anthropology at University at Buffalo, focusing on physical anthropology.

Dr. Kong completed medical school at Lake Erie College of Osteopathic Medicine (LECOM) in Erie, Pennsylvania. During his family medicine residency at Niagara Falls Memorial Medical Center, he developed an interest in treating headaches and went on to complete fellowship training in headache medicine at DENT Neurologic Institute.

He has been active in medical education and has been involved in teaching premedical students, medical students, and residents. During medical school, Dr. Kong also did medical illustration for University at Buffalo’s Department of Pathology and Anatomical Sciences, and has also done patient education illustration for Roswell Park Cancer Institute.

Dr. Kong is a graduate of Fairport High School. Go Raiders!
