Biography

Brett Robbins, MD, board-certified in both internal medicine and pediatrics, cares for patients of all ages in a primary care setting. He is a graduate of the Indiana University School of Medicine and completed his residency at the University of Rochester Medical Center. Dr. Robbins has special interests in medical education, adolescent medicine, the transition of youth with chronic illness to adulthood, and the patient centered primary care medical home for adults and children.

Professional Background

After growing up and finishing medical school in Indiana, Dr. Robbins matched at the Med-Peds residency at the University of Rochester. Upon completion of residency in 1997 he became the Associate Director and ultimately the Program Director for the Med-Peds residency in 1999. He is dual boarded in Internal Medicine and Pediatrics and cares for patients of all ages in a primary care setting. He teaches and does research in the areas of medical education, evidence-based medicine, and the transition of youth with chronic illnesses to adulthood. He is currently also the chief of the division of adolescent medicine within the department of pediatrics.

My research and publications are in the areas of medical education, evidence-based medicine, and the transition of adolescents with chronic illness to adulthood.
