Dr. LaVigne received her MD in 2004 from the University of Rochester School of Medicine & Dentistry and was awarded Alpha Omega Alpha. After completing her internal medicine internship at Rochester General Hospital she then completed her neurology residency at Harvard University/Massachusetts General Hospital/Brigham& Women's Hospital where she was elected as one of the chief residents. Dr. LaVigne then completed a fellowship in headache medicine at the John Graham Headache Center/Brigham & Women's Hospital. She then returned to Rochester and created Rochester's first headache center while at Unity Health System. In 2014 she joined the Department of Neurology at the University of Rochester as the chief of the division of headache.
