Dr. Andrew M. Steinhilber is both an Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeon and Periodontist and he is one of a few dually-certified Oral & Maxillofacial Surgeons in the United States. He holds a Doctor of Dental Surgery degree that he received from Case Western Reserve University School of Dentistry in Cleveland, Ohio. He then completed his two-year residency in Periodontics at CWRU, thus, obtaining his Master of Science in Dentistry degree. This achievement was followed by a four-year residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center at Strong Memorial and The Genesee Hospitals in Rochester, New York.
Outside his practice, Dr. Steinhilber is an Assistant Clinical Professor of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center with privileges at Strong Memorial Hospital. He is very active in surgical resident training and covers maxillofacial trauma call at the University. He has given numerous lectures to various organizations in the surrounding Rochester metropolitan area and is the founder and former Chairman of the Rochester-based Parkside Study Group which provided an arena for the dental professionals within the Rochester area to continue their education. He is also a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery, and is an active member of several dental organizations.
