Grace Family Medicine and its newer satellite Joy Family Medicine, together comprising His Branches Health Services, primarily serve underprivileged populations on Rochester's SW and NE sides with comprehensive family medical care. In addition to providing a full range of pediatric, adult, geriatric, and maternity care (including normal obstetrics and inpatient care at Strong, Highland, and Unity Hospitals), Dr. Morehouse and his colleagues precept students and residents. Their offices also house and back up active crisis pregnancy centers, provide student health coverage at Elim Bible Institute, and are involved in community and youth outreach. Dr. Morehouse has done international missions work, and he and his wife Susan remain supportive of others who are interested in missions as advisors to the Medical Center Christian Fellowship. Susan is a professional harpist who plays at URMC and throughout the community. Together they have a wonderfully full life with four grown children and four grandchildren (so far). In their spare time, they enjoy hiking, skiing, traveling, and an occasional canoe trip to the Adirondacks.CredentialsEducation1970MD | University of Kentucky College of MedicinePost-doctoral Training & Residency07/01/1971 - 06/30/1973Residency in Family Medicine at Highland Hospital of Rochester07/01/1970 - 06/30/1971Internship in Family Medicine at Highland Hospital of RochesterAwards2009Certificate of RecognitionSponsor: Monroe County Legislature2005Health Care Achievement AwardSponsor: Rochester Business Journal2002Human Life AwardSponsor: Leo Holmsten Human Life CommitteeLocation: Rochester, NY2000Teaching Recognition AwardSponsor: American Academy of Family Physicians1993Physician Leadership AwardSponsor: St. Mary's HospitalLocation: Rochester, NY1982Volunteer Recognition AwardSponsor: Attica Correctional FacilityLocation: Attica, NYVIEW ALL expand_more
