When I was nine years old my father had a heart attack. From that day forward I knew I wanted to be a physician. When I was twelve he had heart surgery and I knew I wanted to be a heart surgeon. In those days heart surgery was very invasive (it still is in many circumstances) and my father struggled to recover. It is because of this that I have devoted so much of my research time to developing minimally invasive techniques in heart surgery.

Each patient I care for is another connection with my Dad who passed away a littler over ten years after his heart surgery. I treat everyone the way I want my family to be treated.

Ratings & Reviews

At URMC, we believe that patients should be empowered to make the right decisions regarding their personal healthcare. To do so, transparency is critical. URMC partners with Press Ganey, to survey our patients about all aspects of their care experience. We are now putting this pertinent information at your fingertips by displaying star ratings for our providers along with anonymous patient comments on our website. This will help you make better-informed choices about how and with whom you seek care. Click here to learn more about the surveys used to generate this vital information.
