Manizheh Eghbali, EdD, MPH, is the Director of Surgical Education in the Department of Surgery at the University of Rochester Medical Center. As such, she supports all educational programs within Surgery, including its five ACGME accredited residency programs, faculty development efforts, and the medical student program. Her main areas of responsibility include curriculum development, program assessment, and regulatory compliance for the educational programs of the Department of Surgery. Dr. Eghbali is a member of the American College of Surgeons, the Association for Surgical Education, and the Association of the Program Directors in Surgery.

Dr. Eghbali's current academic interests include surgical education processes and outcomes, including curriculum development and assessment, teaching methodology, learner remediation, and faculty development.
Prior to her recruitment to URMC, Dr. Eghbali served as the Director of Health and Wellness Education at the Rochester Institute of Technology where she taught a number of courses and oversaw the implementation of health promotion efforts of the Institute.
