Stephen D'Ambrosio is a registered and certified Physician Assistant (PA-C) who earned his Bachelors of Science Degree (B.S.) in Physician Assistant Studies from D'Youville College in Buffalo, NY.

He completed his Masters of Physician Assistant Studies (M.P.A.S.) at the University of Nebraska specializing in Internal Medicine.

Stephen is a native of Rochester, NY and has been with the University of Rochester Medical Center (URMC) since 1998. He has over 10 years of experience working in outpatient Primary Care / Internal Medicine at URMC.

Stephen has worked in the Division of Diagnostic and Interventional Neuroradiology - Department of Imaging Sciences since 2009. His clinical work in Interventional Neuroradiology involved performing and interpreting cervical, thoracic and lumbar myelograms, performing cervical and lumbar punctures, cisternograms, blood patches, administering intrathecal chemotherapy in addition to other intrathecal drug therapy, placement of intrathecal lumbar drains and performing bone marrow biopsies/aspirations.

He is affiliated with the Sovie Center for Advanced Practice Providers at URMC and was promoted with a designation of Senior Physician Assistant in 2019.

He is board certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA). He is BLS and ACLS certified and credentialed to perform Moderate Sedation.

Stephen has been a longstanding member of the Rochester Regional Physician Assistant Association (RRPAA). Initially serving as Membership Director and was then elected President from 2018-2019. Stephen is still active with the RRPAA presently serving on the Delegate Council.
