About Me

Dr. Wu is an Associate Professor of Anesthesiology and Perioperative Medicine and Chief of the Division of Cardiac Anesthesiology. He is a Fellow of the American Society of Echocardiography.

Dr. Wu obtained his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his medical degree from Northwestern University. He completed his residency and cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship training at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC). Before joining URMC, D...
Dr. Wu obtained his undergraduate degree from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and his medical degree from Northwestern University. He completed his residency and cardiothoracic anesthesiology fellowship training at Columbia University Irving Medical Center (CUIMC). Before joining URMC, Dr. Wu was an Assistant Professor of Anesthesiology at CUIMC and served as Director of Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography. He has spoken at national and international meetings, including the Society of Cardiovascular Anesthesiologists (SCA) Annual Meeting and the American Society of Anesthesiologists Annual Meeting.

Dr. Wu's research interests include perioperative echocardiography and right ventricular function. He was awarded a research grant by the SCA to investigate the impact of transcatheter edge-to-edge repair of the mitral valve on right ventricular function.
