Dr. Matt Schwedfeger was born and raised in Rochester, NY and graduated from McQuaid Jesuit High School. From there he moved on to Villanova University where he earned a B.S. degree in Biological Sciences and then received his D.D.S. degree from the University of Maryland School of Dentistry, Baltimore College of Dental Surgery.

After dental school Dr. Schwedfeger returned to Rochester and began a one year post graduate training at Strong Memorial Hospital and the Eastman Institute for Oral Health. There he received vast training in treating medically compromised and special needs patients as well as furthering his education in the areas of cosmetic dentistry, oral surgery, endodontics and prosthodontics.

Dr. Schwedfeger is a current part time faculty and staff member at Eastman Dental at Highland. He is an active member of the American Dental Association, Academy of General Dentistry, American Academy of Dental Sleep Medicine, NYS Dental Association and the Monroe County Dental Society.

Besides Dentistry, Dr. Schwedfeger enjoys golf, the Buffalo Bills and Buffalo Sabres, and of course Villanova basketball. He is an avid sports fan and loves being to share his interests with his friends and family.
