Dr. Germain provides primary eye care to a wide range of patients, from children of age three and up to seniors. As part of the Flaum Eye Institute optometry team, she is responsible for performing routine and medical eye exams. She is experienced in diagnosing and managing complex medical conditions related to eye care. This includes co-management with Flaum Eye Institute’s ophthalmology specialists for conditions like cataracts, glaucoma, diabetes and macular degeneration. She has specific interests in working with patients who have keratoconus, severe dry eye and corneal ectasia., and also fits patients with medically indicated contact lenses.

Dr. Germain is native to the Finger Lakes Region, growing up in Walworth, NY. She attended the University of Rochester, where she graduated with honors in mathematics. She completed her optometry degree at the New England College of Optometry, performing rotations at the Veterans Administration in Boston, regional health centers and private practices, and in Alaska, where she cared for the native population at the Yukon-Kuskokwim Health Corporation.
