About Me

Dr. Kleiner is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Allergy/Immunology and Rheumatology Division. Dr. Kleiner is an Assistant Professor of Clinical Medicine in the Allergy/Immunology and Rheumatology Division. He is a practicing adult rheumatologist as well as allergist/immunologist (adult and pediatric). He is interested in the care of autoimmune and inflammatory disorders such as lupus, primary Sjogren’s, rheumatoid arthritis, vasculitis, psoriatic arthritis and ankylosing spondylitis. He is also interested in care of asthma, allergic rhinitis, mast cell disorders and hypereosinophilic disorders.

He currently sees patients in Rochester (Red Creek Drive and Lattimore Road locations) as well as in Canandaigua.

Dr. Kleiner also serves as the clinical director for rheumatology at the University of Rochester Medical Center. His goals are to improve access to rheumatologic care in the greater Rochester area, while ensuring excellent quality of care through implementation of best practice guidelines and ongoing quality improvement projects. He is committed to medical education and training of medical students, residents and fellows.

Dr. Kleiner received his undergraduate education at Harvard College, where he graduated magna cum laude in chemistry. He subsequently attended medical school at the School of Medicine at SUNY Stony Brook. He did his residency training in internal medicine, followed by a combined fellowship in Allergy, Immunology and Rheumatology, all at the University of Rochester. He has had the honor and privilege of caring for patients in the greater Rochester, NY area since 2002.
