Biography

Professional Background

Dr. Sheena Stanard is an Assistant Professor in the UR Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology and is proud to be serving her native community. As a board certified Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetrics and Gynecology, Dr. Stanard is dedicated to providing compassionate care to women through all phases of life. She completed her undergraduate degree in sociology at Emory University and received her master's degree in Health Sciences from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health. She received her medical degree from the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry and completed her residency at Medstar Washington Hospital Center. Her interests include low and high risk pregnancies, family planning and contraception, management of menstrual disorders and fibroids, management of abnormal Pap smears and colposcopy, and minimally invasive surgery.
