Research Bio

Dr. DiVincenti graduated from the Louisiana State University School of Veterinary Medicine in 2010. After completing a residency in comparative medicine at the University of Rochester, he was appointed to the faculty as Chief of Large Animal Medicine & Research. He was board certified by the American College of Laboratory Animal Medicine (ACLAM) in 2013 and by the American College of Animal Welfare (ACAW) in 2015. He has special interests in animal welfare, social housing , and refinements in experimental procedures through anesthetic, analgesic, and other veterinary care procedures.



He supports research staff by providing veterinary services through the Division of Laboratory Animal Medicine including oversight of five licensed veterinary technicians. DLAM services include acquisition and quarantine, diagnostic services, anesthetic and surgical support, and necropsy services.
