Upon graduation she completed her internship at University of Virginia Medical Center and then completed the rest of her internal medicine residency at New York Hospital-Weill Cornell in New York City. She then worked one year as a hospitalist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center. She completed her fellowship in Rheumatology at New York University, Hospital for Joint Diseases. She has done clinical research in lupus as a resident and as a fellow and has a special clinical interest in Lupus.
