Rebecca Nally O.D., is an Assistant Professor at the Flaum Eye Institute. Over the past decade, Dr. Nally has worked with our refractive surgery center and specialized in medically necessary contact lenses for patients suffering from corneal disease and degenerations. She has also performed comprehensive eye care and worked diligently with our Ophthalmologists to co-manage patients with diabetes, glaucoma and cataracts. It is here that she noticed the increasing number of patients suffering from Dry Eye Disease. This special interest has been motivation to further develop the Dry Eye Center for the Flaum Eye Institute where patients can receive individualized diagnosis and treatment for their condition.

Dr. Nally, a Petry-Lomb Scholarship recipient, trained at New England College of Optometry. She completed optometry internships at centers in Beverly Hills, California, Chattanooga, Tennessee, Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Roxbury, Massachusetts. After her internships, she practiced in Whittier, California and returned home to Rochester to practice at the Wayne Regional Eye Center in Newark, New York before joining the Eye Institute's faculty practice in 2004.

Dr. Nally also volunteers in the community, helping with the Flaum Eye Institute's Glover-Crask Eyeglasses for Kids program. She is a Lion's Club member and has contributed to the local Vision Health Coalition. For twelve years, she was program director for the allied health section of the annual Ophthalmology conference sponsored by the Flaum Eye Institute and lectured on contact lenses. She is a fellow of the American Academy of Optometry, board certified by the American Board of Optometry, a member of the Contact Lens Association of Ophthalmologists, the Contact Lens Society of America, the New York State Optometric Association and the Rochester Optometric Society.

Dr. Nally is accepting new patients at the University of Rochester Flaum Eye Institute offices located at 210 Crittenden Boulevard, 1701 Lac De Ville Boulevard and 1317 Mount Hope Avenue in Rochester.
