Biography

Professional Background

Dr. Colby Previte is an assistant professor in the UR Medicine Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology, and is a board certified Fellow of the American Congress of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. She is a magna cum laude graduate of Williams College with a bachelor's degree in Biology. She is a graduate of the University of Massachusetts Medical School. She completed her Residency at the University of Rochester in Obstetrics and Gynecology.

As a general gynecologist, she enjoys seeing women of all ages for gynecologic care, both in the ambulatory setting as well as inpatient, including gynecologic surgery. As a member of the Highland Hospital obstetrics faculty, she cares for obstetric patients both in their prenatal ambulatory care and their inpatient labor and postpartum care.

She is the Director of Highland Women's Health at Culver. Her roles include supervision of resident curriculum and learning, creation of standard procedures for resident continuity clinic, and the creation of standard procedures for management of patient medical issues.

She is the University of Rochester School of Medicine and Dentistry (URSMD) OB/GYN Third Year Clerkship Director. She is the OB/GYN Clerkship Site Coordinator at Highland Hospital for URSMD third-year students and Rochester Institute of Technology Physician Assistant clinical students. She has been recognized with Commendations for Excellence in Third Year Teaching, Strong Stars (awarded by grateful patients), and Outstanding Contributions to Strong Beginnings.
