Biography

Dr. Swogger is a clinical psychologist. His research foci include psychopathy, substance abuse, and violence among criminal offenders. Clinically, Dr. Swogger specializes in the treatment of anxiety disorders.

Research

Dr. Swogger studies factors that moderate the relationships between psychopathic traits and key public health outcomes like outwardly-directed violence, suicidal behavior, and criminal recidivism. His recent work also focuses on substance use, including the efficacy of substance use treatment for justice-involved people and the risks and therapeutic potential of entheogens,
