Professional Bio

Dr. Tian received her medical degree (M.D.) in 1995 from Nanjing and a MS degree of imaging medicine in 1998 from Capital University of Medical Sciences, Beijing, China, where she was trained in diagnostic of radiology and brain MRI field. She worked as clinical radiologist in Beijing Tongren hospital from 1998 to 2003. She then had the training of functional MR image post-processing in Schizophrenia, Cognition & Imaging lab at University of British Columbia. She joined the Department of Imaging Sciences at University of Rochester as a postdoctoral fellow/instructor in Radiology since 2006 and now she is an senior Instructor.

She worked in the MR research group and she has enriched experience in evaluating the advanced functional MR technique (MR-DTI, MR-PWI, MRS and Bold functional MRI) in clinical application. Her current research work in University of Rochester focuses on clinical application study of DTI and PWI in multiple sclerosis (MS), HIV, and brain tumors.
