Patient Care Bio

My goal is to provide compassionate surgical care that achieves cure of cancer whenever possible. When cure is not possible, I strive to achieve pain control and improve function as best as possible through surgical interventions.

Since early in my medical school training, I knew I wanted to be a surgeon who treats patients with cancer. This is likely because I lost several friends and family members to this disease. My love of the musculoskeletal system – and desire to improve the function of the people I care for – drove me in the direction of orthopaedic surgical oncology. My areas of special interest include musculoskeletal oncology, sarcoma and metastatic bone cancer.

Every patient who sees me is treated with equal respect and compassion. I am also honest and let my patients know in all sincerity if their problem is one I can help with or not.

Conditions I Treat:

- Primary soft tissue and bone cancers of the extremities, pelvis and shoulder girdle
- Bone and soft tissue sarcomas
- Metastatic bone cancer
